Last week “officially” kicked off the start of my wedding season. I’ve had a couple of weddings earlier in the year, but now, we’re getting to the knitty-gritty when wedding season is ready to go into high gear.
I was so incredibly pleased with how well the wedding cake turned out. Stacey chose an ivory butter cream icing, and a simple, yet elegant design of edible, ivory sugar pearls. The beautiful flowers were provided by Rachael West Designs in Hickory, NC. Her arrangements are phenomenal! I gladly took on the task of arranging the flowers on the cake. I’m so pleased with the outcome, as was the bride…which is what it’s all about.
Last week was a very challenging one for me personally. I want to begin by asking everyone to please keep my wonderful husband, Audy, in your prayers. He is continuing to undergo testing for a medical issue that remains unknown right now. If you will lift him in your prayers, I would be most appreciative. 🙂
On the business front…can you believe that Thanksgiving is only a week away??? Both of my children are continually reminding me that Christmas isn’t far behind. 🙂

***BOOKINGS*** Unfortunately, there are no dates remaining for this week (ending November 1st). I will be closed on Saturday, November 8th, for us to celebrate Gracie’s 8th birthday. Hard to believe that she’s turning 8! There are 2 openings remaining for Friday, November 7th, so if you are in need of anything for the weekend, please let me know, as these openings will fill quickly.
***CLOSED FOR ELECTION DAY*** I will be closed on Tuesday, November 4th. Gracie has a low vision assessment and evaluation in Morganton, so we will be with her that day.
***NEW WEDDING BOOKINGS*** Congratulations and thank you to the following brides-to-be who booked their upcoming weddings over the weekend…Monica Abernethy (8/8/09); Heather Moser (5/23/09) and Jordan Hoyle (11/7/09). I’m honored to have been chosen to make your wedding cakes for your special day!
I hope that each of you have a safe and happy Halloween!
God bless, Amy
I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the cake! It was my dream cake! We all loved it and everyone thought it tasted great! They even thought it was fake at first because it was so perfect!
