There are 2 openings remaining for Friday, November 7th, so if you are in need of anything for the weekend, please let me know, as these openings will fill quickly.

***CLOSED FOR ELECTION DAY*** I will be closed on Tuesday, November 4th. Gracie has a low vision assessment and evaluation in Morganton, so we will be with her that day.

***NEW WEDDING BOOKINGS*** Congratulations and thank you to the following brides-to-be who booked their upcoming weddings over the weekend…Monica Abernethy (8/8/09); Heather Moser (5/23/09) and Jordan Hoyle (11/7/09). I’m honored to have been chosen to make your wedding cakes for your special day!

I hope that each of you have a safe and happy Halloween!

Fall is in the air – with interludes of summer popping in here and there – but it’s almost holiday season, and I just *LOVE* this time of year! Love it!!!

This week is booked to capacity, so unfortunately, I won’t be able to take any additional orders. Thanks so much for the referral orders, too! I’ll be updating referral credits later this week from last week’s orders.

One quick note: Many of my upcoming Saturdays are already booked or nearly booked. If you’d like to set aside a slot on one of the remaining Saturdays, please let me know. As always, you can pick up orders needed for Saturday on Friday, if available.

Fall/Halloween orders are flowing in. I have hand-decorated cookies, cookie cakes and Halloween/Fall decorated cakes available for you. A few cookie photos are now up on the web site home page! More to come….

One new item this year: White chocolate suckers! They will be individually wrapped and tied with matching ribbon, and priced at .50 each. I have pumpkins, black cats and ghosts for you to choose from. I’ll be making some samples of these this weekend, and photos will be posted in next week’s blog.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month…Breast cancer awareness ribbon mints, suckers, and cookies are available for October. In addition, proceeds from all orders of the awareness ribbon items will be donated to our local NC Foothills Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure chapter. 🙂 Enjoy a treat, and help this wonderful cause at the same time.

I hope that each of you have a great week!

God bless, Amy

Congratulations to Justin & Deidra, who were married on Friday, October 3rd at Rock Barn. What a gorgeous reception! Their 3-tiered wedding cake was adorned with edible, ivory sugar pearls and a lovely rust orange ribbon for the border. The flowers were just amazing. Thank you so much for allowing me to be a small part of your very special day.

Have a last minute order? I still have a few openings for both Friday and Saturday of this week, so just let me know if you need anything.

New referral credits have been added for Jenny Houk, Arden Jolley and Tanya Godfrey Eltora. Thanks so much for telling others about my cakes. You’re the best!

I will be closed on Thursday, October 9th, for a number of meetings. Thanks for understanding.

Photos from last week are updated and ready for viewing on the web site. Last week had many present cakes being ordered, a really cute Bob the Builder cake with matching “thank you” cookies for Grant, Mason’s Steelers jersey, and various others. Take a peak when you have time.

Have a comment? Pleased with an order? Enjoying the blog? Would you like to see a new flavor added to the menu? I would love to hear back from you, so please, comment when you have a moment.

Finally, I want to send out a personal note to the family of Guy Hollar. Guy lost his long, hard-fought battle with leukemia yesterday. His wife, Marsha, was our babysitter for a number of years when we were children. They have a very special place in our hearts. Please send your prayers for strength and God’s love to surround Marsha, Eric, Heather and their family during this really hard time in their lives.

God bless, Amy
